I’m uploading my CD a day early because I’m working so much damn overtime at work I don’t know when I’m going to be at my home computer again.
With this mix I wanted to show my appreciation to 8-bit / 16 Bit music and try some track mixing (Ableton Live) for the first time. So most tracks on the CD start in their 8 /16-Bit for and evolve into a higher fidelity remix.Thanks to OCRemix.org for most of the remixes.

Okay here we go. As most of you know I was really upset with the mix cd I put out for BC09. I made sure that this Mix CD is going to kick ass, and I have to say I am very happy with this cd.
I’ve titled the CD as The Phoenix.
The story is about a man who has just undergone a life altering moment. Could be he losts his job, wife left him, broke up with gf, etc, etc. He gets in his car and drives away. It begins with his Resurrection, the driving having soothed him and calmed his emotions. He begins to change, realizing he needs something new. He finds the city, but the city can be harsh and brutal. He learns to adapt and at the club he meets a girl, sparks fly and he learns that he is now living on his own, he’s a new man.

I’m dumb and I forgot Yousendit only keeps files up for 7 days, whoops. I can reup it again if people need it! Also, sorry the cover is so boring - I’ll make more fun ones for the others!Oh, forgot to tell you about the mix, haha. It’s not a literal interpretation of the theme - it’s kind of a more personal thing, where these songs are what were in my head when I was asking myself “where are you going?” earlier in the year. It has a definite feel and a definite arc, though, so I think it’s effective. I hope you enjoy!

Might as well post mine now. It’s pretty much all the dancy electronic stuff I’ve been listening to lately after the new Prodigy and Crystal Method albums got me back into that kind of stuff. I was originally thinking of calling it “Good For Dancing, GREAT FOR FUCKING” but ended up just going with my favorite song name ever (and I mean my favorite name, the song itself I’m not a huge fan of)

So try to read the track names before you listen for full OB emergence.
Also about 70% of these tracks are totally unreleased and had to be ripped of other mixes or youtube so there may some sound artifacts or sound embedding to prevent pirating but I did my best to slim the track to prevent anything from effecting the track.
